While I have a lot of good things to say about the property, it was the scrumptious food that I'll commend the most. Whether it was the chef-recommended a la carte meals or their lavish buffets, I cannot praise their kitchen enough. We had most of our meals at Seasonal Tastes, the all-day dining restaurant but also got a fine taste of Panorama, the gorgeous rooftop al fresco dining, on our last night at the property. Featuring a swanky bar and comfortable couch-seating, it is aptly named since it gives you a 180 degree view of the property and that of the star-laden Pushkar skies. We had a truly memorable evening of never ending conversations, delicious munchies, chilled beers and a specially-arranged organic hookah {a no-tobacco signature at Westin}.

For evenings when drinking is the main agenda, surrender your glasses in the able hands of the mixologist at Mix. The all-day bar is best known for its crafty {and hearty} cocktails and a variety of  nibbles to go along. What's more? You can actually get behind the bar and DIY your favourite cocktails at the regularly held mixology sessions! I can totes whip up a mean Orange Caprioska on my own now.

Getting there: The best way to get to the resort is via train {Ajmer Shatabdi} which takes around six hours from Delhi to Ajmer. The resort is just a 40-minute drive away from Ajmer Railway station. Jaipur is the nearest airport, Pushkar is about 145 km {about 3 hours} from there

You can totally make a road trip out of it; it is a very doable 8 hour drive from Delhi.

2017 has been really great, travel-wise. October marked my fifth trip to Rajasthan this year and second one to Pushkar. I always wanted to see the hustle-bustle and the colours of this hipster town during the Camel Fair and I did get a glimpse of it, though the full fledged festivities will begin in November. I went with my mom and we both acted like typical tourists for three whole days- insane shopping, lots of eating and just plain chilling. Since all my trips are budget trips {just one of the many problems that come with being unemployed}, I had been looking at affordable stay options for a while and finally decided on Hotel Pushkar Legacy by Treebo.

Treebo is a popular budget hotel chain {and one of the largest}  that offers good quality accommodation options at pocket-friendly prices. Currently, it has over 300 properties in 50 Indian cities. Hotel Pushkar Legacy, from the looks of it, seemed fairly new and quite promising. The amply sunlit lounge area complete with a humble chandelier was my favourite section of the hotel. 

The front facade of the property is given a haveli-like feel with the use of pillars and jharokas and has a small garden attached to it. I booked a Deluxe room which had a double bed but was spacious enough for a group of four. Compared to other budget hotels I've stayed in, this was one of the most impressive in terms of amenities, amount of space and design. The deluxe rooms come with a small balcony {for you to sip your morning chai while taking in the view of the Aravallis}, a nice bathroom and a small wardrobe room with the closet and dresser. While the rooms are already equipped with everything one might need, the hotel staff is pretty attentive and prompt in their service. 

We also had a couple of our meals at the in-house restaurant which by the way, serves great breakfast {buffet included in tariff} as well as North Indian and Chinese food. While Pushkar has plenty of nice cafes to choose from, there were times when we were too tired to step out and opted to stay in for our meals and didn't regret it. 

Overall, things are kept pretty simple at Treebo Pushkar Legacy. You will get everything that you need and expect from a budget hotel and a wee bit more. I was super impressed by the overall hospitality standards and the courtesy displayed by the staff. I am now officially a #TreeboTripper and definitely recommend you become one too!
