Meet the chic new hotspot in Aerocity {Imperfecto Shor}
Hello, people of the internet! It is me again, the crazy person who keeps trying to be your friend by giving you amazing food, fashion and travel recommendations. I will keep trying till you fall for it.
Continuing with my quest of discovering great new places for you, I bring you the latest addition to Delhi's own version of the Cyber Hub a.k.a Aerocity: Imperfecto Shor. You all know Imperfecto, right? That hipster little cafe at the entry of Hauz Khas Village with cool-in-a-crazy-way upside down furniture, the nicest live gigs and the swirly stairs that became an Instagram sensation. The newest outlet is just as quirky but a different kind. The interiors are a mix of charming and spooky and their old-worldliness lends the place a mysterious, gothic character. The menu too, a mix of various cuisines, follows a similar theme.
Shor's bar is an interesting place to be. Complete with high chairs and interesting ceiling lights, it sits gracefully in the middle of the place like a grand centre-piece. You'll know that the cocktails are promising as soon as you begin reading the menu. Each one comes with a fun treat on the side—for instance, a sizzling skewer of prawns with one, and a dollop of pistachio ice-cream with another. Both my drinks were custom concoctions so I'd have to let you make your own decision for the drink. All I can really say is, the bar tender REALLY knows what he's doing.
As for the food: My friend and I, both crazy about mushrooms, were instantly drawn to the idea of the clay oven grilled stuffed mushrooms. Couldn't get enough of the buttery texture and the pleasant burst of spices. The veg Philadelphia rolls were as delicious as they looked. Cream cheese does make everything better! If you're a sushi-lover, I've got good news: the menu will spoil you for choice. We ended our culinary rendezvous with veg spinach and ricotta quesadillas, toasted to perfection with the freshest, most delicious guac on the side. The stuffing had all my favourite veggies and a generous helping of mozzarella, so naturally, I was the happiest.
So if you're bored of your usual hangouts, this recent addition to Aerocity is perfect for a boozy brunch with friends or a hearty dinner with bae {or vice-versa guys, it’s your life, really}. There are ample exciting options for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians, each sounding more appetising than the last. Fill yourself up with yummy food here and head to the Imperfecto Shor Club next door if dancing is on the agenda.
Until next time. xx
