Jamie's Pizzeria opens in Pacific Mall!
Where: Pacific Mall, Tagore Garden
Cuisine: Italian
Cost: 800 for two
All the good things are coming to my side of the town- YAY! Pacific Mall is quite great for shopping to be honest but was in dire need of better dining options. I have already expressed how much I liked Jamie's Pizzeria in Ambience Mall and the second outlet too, did not disappoint. There are a few additions to the menu, giving more choice to us vegetarians.
The decor is warm and colourful, the wall graffiti reminds you of all things Delhi, the vintage frames and bright lamps just add to the pleasantness. There is ample seating without congesting the space, which makes it one of the few options in the mall to dine with a large group.
I started with their Homemade iced tea, it wasn't over-sugary like most places and I loved the strong kick of tea. Try the Ginger Beer if you're feeling adventurous- it's super strong, slightly bitter and not for the fainthearted.
The classic hand-stretched garlic bread with rosemary is pretty good as is but you can now add cheese to it! You don't really need anything apart from the Olive Tapenade it comes with, the secret chilli dip and lemon+mint yogurt are good for variety. New on the menu, Jamie's Super Greens is full of leafy goodness. Chunks of broccoli, spinach, sun dried tomato, garlic and parmesan+mozzarella cheese make this one a vegetarian's delight. My other two favourites on the menu include Funghi and the White Rocket pizzas. There's quite a few salads that you can choose from- I am keen on trying out the new Marinated Feta and Watermelon salad. They do a different 'baked pasta dish' every day, do ask your server!
There are tempting additions in the dessert section too. Almond Tart with Vanilla Cream was collectively crowned the prettiest and the yummiest dish on the table- definitely a must try! The gooey tart is just the right amount of sweet and melts in your mouth and the almonds provide a nice crunch in every bite. Good news for the coffee lovers- there's Affogato too.
All in all, it's a great place to take a break while or post-shopping. The pizzas are light, guilt-free and easy on the pocket too! I am visiting again, you should too.
