Ethnic wear gets hip with Rangsutra
Rangsutra, a community based crafts company, creates fusion-ethnic wear using traditional Indian techniques with an objective to provide livelihood in the rural areas- they ensure that the artisans get paid their dues. However, the brand's good intentions is not the only reason you should shop from it!
Expect bright hues and traditional weaves, with contemporary cuts and silhouettes- it’s ethnic wear that’s also kinda hip. Tie and dye, intricate mirror embroideries, tribal prints- there’s a lot to check out here.
Ghaghras for all occasions
I checked out their stall at Dastkar Haat, Chhattarpur and picked up a few button-down kurtas. They have the right amount of flare and can be dressed up or down depending on your mood. Another favourite is the blue high-low ghaghra with colourful latkans {the one I've styled in the feature image}. Their cotton sarees and dupattas with crochet pompoms have my heart!
Rangsutra also has quite a lot for your home- I loved the cushion covers and table linen that feature Rajasthan’s extra weft weaving technique.
The best bit
If you’re someone who loves Indian wear, Rangsutra will be a refreshing change for your wardrobe. Most of the garments are available in alternate colour combinations, so you’ll be spoilt for choice. The products are super affordable- the starting price of a Kurta is somewhere around Rs. 700.
Apart from Dastkar, the products are also available on Flipkart, Jaypore, and Indian Roots and will soon be available on Myntra.
